CD Changer Stopped Working
Posted by T (more from T) on Sun, 16 Jan 2000 16:19:14
Erghh!
The CD Changer stopped function in my 96 900S.
When I push the 'CD' button nothing happens - not even a 'NO CD' message
in the display, it just stays in the radio or tape mode.

The changer itself seems to be getting power as it can eject the
cartridge and load it again without any problems.

Just on a whim I tried pulling both radio fuses (11 and 13 I think) for a
few seconds and putting them back in, but to no avail.

I know the actual CD button is making contact because if I hold the 'CD'
button down, I can not use any of the other radio buttons.

Could the cold weather around here (0-5F) have caused this problem -
although the weather has been colder around here without any problems
happening.

Any past experiences/advice?
