Anyone done 2.3LPT engine perf upgrades to a 9-5?
Posted by Al Youngwert (more from Al Youngwert) on Wed, 2 Feb 2000 22:44:00
As long as we're talking about 9-5 wagons... I love mine but I'm
disappointed that it doesn't give me the same performance rush that my
old '86 9000T or 900TC gave. There's that great rush from about 1600RPMs
to about 2800RPMs, after which the rate of acceleration decreases
significantly. I'm sure the Trionic LPT programming is just telling the
waste gate to dump pressure above that range.

Has anyone investigated reprogramming the boost map in the Trionic
system? Through a third party or otherwise? How about the Saab
performance exhaust or other exhaust systems? Any intake modifications,
K&N filter, etc.

Any previous experience comments or suggestions would be appreciated.
