3 tire questions

1.) I checked the saabnet archives and hear that 205/60R15 fit on a '90
9000 CD OEM wheels (15'?). Is this true? How 'bout a set of 215/55R15?

Sorry, can't help you with 9000 stuff. The tires will fit the rims fine, but I
can't tell you if they'll fit the car.

2.) I have heard all of the great praises for the Nokian Hakka winter
tires, but does anyone have experience with the Hakkapeliita NRV asymetric
summer tires? I am thinking of picking up a set, but would like to hear
some more. Everything I know is from the Nokian website.

Nokian tires are THE ticket for snow. However, I'd stick with a more well-known
brand for summer. I use Dunlop SP8000's (cheap now that they're superceded by the
inferior SP9000's) on my Audi QTC which sees some track time.).

3.) Last one! Anyone have a comparsion of the Hakka 1's verses the Hakka
Q's? (back to the wintertime) I am specifically interested in tread wear. I
live in Minneapolis, so I see snow, but usually only for a couple of days
till it plowed, the last pair of blizzaks I had got shredded on the pavement
in ~8,000 miles.

I run NRW-H's on my wife's 900T year-round. Great dry pavement performance (for an
H-rated tire), terrific in the wet, and very good in the snow. Treadwear has been
very impressive. They have my highest recommendation for your described use.

I have Hakka 10LT's on my Bronco. Again year-round. Great in the snow and wet, a
bit mushy in the dry, but decent treadwear. I have also run Hak 1's... which are
even better in the wet and not as noisy. I also have a new set of NordiFrosts on
my father-in-law's car. Very similar to the Hak 1's, but a little firmer.

My vendor (G&G just outside of Milwaukee... great guy) is a real believer in the
new Q's. He claims much better snow performance than the 1's and he runs them on
his own cars. (He's picky as well... he doesn't even consider the NRW a decent
snow tire.) Ancedotal evidence is that the Q's don't last as long (and absolutely
shouldn't be used in warm weather) but they're too new for comparisons.

Finally, I experimented with a set of Blizzacks for my 4000Q. My experience has
been horrible. They are wearing very fast, have horrible dry handling, unsafe wet
handling, uninspiring snow handling... but they are decent on ice.

Hope this helps!
