The pressure depends on the weight of the car and the footprint of the tire.
Tires with smaller footprints require higher pressures. If you find they
are wearing more in the center than on the edges, reduce the pressure. If
the edges are wearing, increase the pressure (or line up the front).

Yup! Me too. The rule is to always put the better tires on the back. It's
more important to be able to stop safely than to be able to go. If during
braking, the rears lock up, you have no directional stability. (This
applies year around).
