Thanks folks! Your insight has been _very_ helpful.

That seems to sum up what I've been reading. I've spent a little time in
both a 900S 5 spd and a 900T 5 spd(both loaners so my local Saab garage
[Lincolnway Sales & Serice] has a cold car to work on while working on
the water pump & alternator.
I think I'll stick with the 9kT. Even after surviving 19 years of
madness driving Renaults...and loving the little whackos...a 900 isn't
for me. Granted, both 900s had MORE miles than the 207k on my 9kT. (a
5th gear to 3rd gear downshift is pure guess work and if you miss, well,
4th is there somewhere...aw heck, now I'm slow enough for 2nd. Ok, I
_know_ 2nd is easy to find!...sorry 900 fans, my '79 LeCar had the same
tranny first/motor 2nd arrangement and it didn't shift worth a hoot either)

Well, the 9k sure _feels_ a LOT wider! I play a game with myself by
seeing how close I come to the drive-thru windows at burger joints &
banks without bashing a mirror. At 5'6', I _need_ to get close. I was
surprised at how close I was to the outside in the 900s. I also surprise
myself when I park the 9kT beside a Voyager or an Explorer or a Cherokee
and see how much _longer_ I am!

The rear seats of a 9k are as nice or nicer than the front seats of many
cars. Except for cracked leather, they're nicer than what I recently
(pre-9kT) had in an '82 Mercedes 300D. And the driver's seat of my 9kT?
Incredible! Were it not for the 55 series tires giving so much jolt(I
keep the tires fully inflated for the delivery loads), it would be a
super highway cruiser. Gotta' love that old Benz for those kinds of
trips though. Turbo'd diesels aren't bad once you get 'em turning but I
get better 'fuel' mileage from the 9kT.

As if you could go fast in a cinder block! :) Actually, a turbo'd Volvo
wagon would be lotsa' laughs 'cept in the wet PA. snows.

Thanks again everyone!
