1999 Saab 9-3 Convertible (Posted 5/22/2013)

Car is in good condition. It has A/C, heated seats, power windows and a trunk mounted 5 disc CD player. In the past 6 months the car has had the water pump, rear shocks, belt and fuel pump replaced. Interior is in very good condition. Tires are in good condition, both front tires are only 2 years old. The exterior has a few minor scratches and the clear coat is starting to peel on the driver's side door. There's a short in the electrical system that makes the 'check engine' light go on frequently. Several mechanics have tried to fix it and failed! Also, it needs a new roof. The current roof looks fine from the outside, but the inside struts are bent and the seals leak. This is not a salvage title.

Great condition - both mechanical and exterior. I am the 2nd owner since 2007 (70,000 miles). New ignition cassette, a/c temp sensor 5-13; Oil changed, check up, two tires replaced 5-13 (Kumo Solus), SID is fading out, new breather kit, brake pads replaced 7-12. New alternator, neutral safety switch, battery 4-12. New oil pressure switch, a/c compressor, serp belt, dryer, idler pulley 8-10. Canvas top, pumps in excellent condition. Two remote keys. All medallions on wheels; had exterior detailed in 2012. Has a trailer hitch (value $375); I use for my Thule bike rack (will add on for $150). Used Patterson Performance mechanic in Raleigh - always had the 5,000 mile oil changes with synthetic oil changes and scheduled maintenance and necessary new parts as you can see above. I will miss this fun, classic Turbo convertible! It has many more miles to give to its future sporty driver!

Summer is here. For sale a low mileage(<75K) Viggen convertible. 2nd owner since 2004, I've driven it for 10 years 25 mi. round trip to work and back down Lake Shore Drive mostly. Modifications: GenuineSaab Teflon bushings in the front suspension, larger GenuineSaab, sway-bar in the back, a performance ECU chip makes engine go from 230 to 295hp ($250 extra, orig $900)but included if you pay close to asking price, a black interior and original carbon fiber dashboard,a wired in a 3.5mm stereo plug for an iPhone, custom installed wires and connectors for a subwoofer ( will sell my 2 - 150 watt 10" subs for $250). Well maintained; changed oil every 3000 miles or 3 months. Tires: set of 4 factory Saab 17" rims with new Hankook summer tires. As you can tell from the mileage it is barely driven. I love this car but not great when you want to transport kids. It is a rarity to find a 2000 Viggen with such low mileage. It has been maintained. The front hood has some scuff markts and rear bumps has some marks as well. But interiors in great shape, all original including the rims. The engine has been serviced every year and it runs really smooth. All mechanics , lighting etc works perfect. It is a gem and a steal for someone who knows what this car is about.

2001 Saab 9-3 Viggen Convertible (Posted 4/4/2013) SOLD

Brute power, you step on it and it GOES! Definitely has a great dose of Yipee-Ki-Yay under the hood! This is a 2001 steel-grey exterior, charcoal interior Viggen. I'm second owner, had it for 3 years, and have driven maybe 13,000 miles on it (it sleeps in the garage every night, and does not come out in winter/crappy weather). 89,700 miles, most of my driving on the Merritt - with the top down, of course! Car is in very good condition, clean title, etc. Orig top. Description and fair disclosure: Body looks great - a few scratches. Front dam has scrapes on the front end - folks who know Viggens know that the dam is pretty low, hence the scrapes. Wheels are the classic Viggen 5 spoke, and for those who know Viggens, yes - they have curb rash. SID has about 85% pixels - some missing but all readable. I'm a non-smoker, and previous owner was, too. I've done one mod to the car - I replaced the stock radio with a Pioneer that has bluetooth, mp3 and USB capability. bluetooth is very nice in particular for when you answer the phone with the top down - sound comes out the speakers. Still have the stock radio if you want it. 1/2 cover top (for the convertible) comes with the car. Spring is here! This Saab is in excellent condition and it looks and drives great. There is nothing wrong with the top, instrument cluster, clutch, DI cassette, water pump, etc... All has been repaired(any of you Saab enthusiast know what I am talking about). I have always run synthetic oil and do have some service history available. I am only the second owner and I originally bought it from a gal out of Miami, FL. Love these SE convertibles! Convertible season is just around the corner and I am selling the perfect Viggen. This 2001 has been well cared for by local Saab Specialist and kept in the garage for most winters. Exterior and Interior are in excellent condition. Viggen leather seats are the most comfortable I have ever experienced. Mobil 1 every 3,000 miles. Included is the Saab wind screen. In addition to the Viggen wheels and tires that are on the car, I also have a set of BBS two-piece wheels with new summer tires if interested.
