This 9000 has been great to me. I am the third owner. There is significant damage to the rear end. Aside from that and some missing clear coat on the hood and hatch, the car is in great shape. Engine and transmission run great. Had oil changed religiously every 3k miles. New H-rated tires with less than 10k miles on them. Black interior with dark gray upholstery. AM/FM/cassette with radio code and Owner's Manuals. It has tons of great parts. It is a great parts car for a SAAB lover to keep their machine going, or for a mechanic to part out. I just don't have the time or tools to do it myself.

Good Things: TONS of new parts. Nearly $4000 worth of work in the past two years. Still handles really well turbo is strong engine strong. Leather seats with no holes, heated seats still working, sunroof, blaupunkt cd player with aux input. No cracks in the dash. Entirely new clutch, exhaust, wheel bearing, brakes, tires less than a year old, new heater core, new blower, new filter, lots of new hoses. Almost zero rust. All electronics/gauges still working. Gets ~25mpg. Fast! Bad Things: No air conditioning. Only the back left window works (spools messed up on front two, contact issue on back). Headliner sags a bit in the back. Not all doors lock/unlock automatically. Speedometer goes out occasionally for a week or so.

1991 9000Turbo 5 speed manual transmission with 189K miles. My daily driver and recently NYSI. I am moving and am going to lose my great local Saab mechanic. Many new parts including crank and idler pulley, new belt,new headliner, but like any Saab needs a few things. Oil changed religiously. A/C does not work, emergency brake does not work I put in new cables but needs new rear calipers and the washer squirts do not work. None of these affect driving as the turbo still kicks. Tan interior Comes with 4 snow tires mounted on steel rims. Installed Kenwood CD player with equalizer and cassette player. God I love this car, but new job and moving a forcing me to sell it. 1992 Saab 9000 Turbo (Posted 5/5/2008)

'92 9KT. Extensive rebuilding and upgrades since purchased 7 years ago on Saabnet @ 107K. Engine top and front end were completely rebuilt at 117K by Swedish Auto in San Diego. ALL top and front end items were replaced regardless, gaskets, balance and timing chains, oil pump, water pump, tensioner, balancer, EVERYTHING. Custom 3" from turbo back aluminized exhaust built by Jacks Muffler in San Diego. ALL suspension components replaced @ 115K, Zimmerman cross drilled rotors, lots of detail work on suspension (hot tanking and painting everything), wheels were straightened and refinished by El Cajon wheel. Sumitomo HTRZ II's with less than 1,000 miles. All aero bodywork was replaced. Excellent stereo with Sony Xplod deck and Pioneer 400W amp w/10" sub. E-code headlights. Forge billet blow off valve. Swedish Dynamics chipped. VDO gauge package w/oil temp, oil pressure, combo vacuum/boost. Custom shifter (not a short throw, reverse lockout removed). I've heard all the TCU horror stories, this car has been in limp mode once since I've owned it, attributable to a bad sensor wire. That's the good. The ugly is the ECU is apparently buggy from the car sitting too long. Runs great when accelerating, won't idle and is running really rich. if you drive it you'll feel and hear that everything in the engine is very solid and it still pulls very hard. When running correctly will consistently pull 15+ PSI. Car was repainted it's original Talladega red 6 years ago, paint is dull but will color sand/buff up. Has the usual dash crack. Headliner is starting to sag, door panels need reglued. Newer front seats (heaters work) w/good leather but the color match is off slightly. Had planned to bring the car back up to spit and polish but circumstances dictate that I sell it for a huge loss. With some work and minor investment you'll have a very nice 9KT with lots of extras.

1993 9000 CSE -- for parts or repair. Front of car damaged by falling tree. Insurance repair estimate approx. $3750. Worst damage is dented windshield pillar, but also has dents in hood, broken headlight assembly and bumper damage. Asking $1000 or best offer -- we just want it gone. Has many usable parts including engine and transmission. Was in great shape before tree -- ran like a champ and was getting 29 mpg. 1988 Saab 9KS that is pretty well worn out. Well maintained car up until the last few years where with new family and work considerations has fallen into neglect. Most everything is worn out or broken, EXCEPT....it has a good running engine AND it's an automatic 4-spd ZF that works GREAT! Over the 9 years I've owned the car I had the governor seals replaced twice, last time about 30K ago. Complete car only, not parting it out. Will need to be towed (commutator is worn so thin the VR barely makes contact, even with a new one) but can be driven long enough to verify that the engine is in good shape and the transmission works perfectly. Other items of note is it has nice black custom floormats from SAS and a factory trunk mat.

1998 9000 CSE Manual transmission, 170k Silver/Black Full Dealer service records up to 170k New DI Cassette, newer heater core, Front and rear bushings recently replaced, New Toyo Proxes with alignment, Extra steel rims with new Nokian snows, New front rotors with pads, Same owner for 10 years. No expense was spared all services done at the dealer, YES right up to present mileage. No oil leaks, no smoke on start up. Now the exciting: I had a high end stereo shop install Dyna Mat in all four doors and an on the floor under the carpet up to the firewall to kill the road noise. Then I replaced the head unit with an Alpine which has Sirius Satellite Radio, and an ipod hook up in the center console. I replaced the front speakers in the dash with French made Focal K2 Speakers (Retail $700 for the pair), Focal 5 x 7 at the rear and a custom built-in from scratch 10 Infinity Sub Woofer in the back cargo area. Also replaced the factory Amp with a Infinity Amp. Every component is in the factory spot except for the woofer. This system sounds incredible not some cheap thump thump sound but crystal clear (no distortion) HIGH QUALITY SOUND! ($2200.00 value) All original components go with car. Car is in way better then avg. condition (no cracks in drivers seat etc.) This car is the perfect commuter vehicle at 30 MPG on the highway going 80 MPH. I have three to many cars two of them SAABS I also have a 2003 AERO for sale (see ad in saabnet) I'll keep the one that doesn't go first, I wish I could keep both. You wont be disappointed! I searched two years for one this clean.

Gray Recaro seats in front show minor wear. Matching gray rear seat from a CSE for complete folding in the back (max storage space). New/fixed within last 2 years; rear brake roters/pads, water pump, ECU, TCS throttle body, radio, battery, horn, antenna mast, brake sensor, tires. AC may need recharge. Cupholder/change holder in upper din. Have both sunroof wind deflector and Thule rack system for car as well as a set of steel wheels with Saab covers and Pirelli snows. 1 month old Ronal RT 17" wheels (made by factory saab company, cost of $840) with Nokian Hakkapeliita 4 studless winter tires of the same age (cost of $580). Also, 1 set of Michelin GForce summer tires with 600 miles on them (cost of $600). This car has been totally babied its whole life. I've had it for two years and haven't had to do anything but regular service. Shocks and bushings were replaced at 115k so it rides on rails. 250hp and 30mpg (or better) on the highway. Merging on the highway is super fun. Have all receipts since i've bought it an a few from before. This is my 4th Saab so you can say i'm a Saab nut....clearly i wasn't planning on selling it but i've just bought a home and want to furnish it properly. Oh yeah, custom ($1200 plus labor) hi-fi stereo with imaging tweeters...no sub box, this is an adult driven vehicle. Have factory Saab/Thule roof rack included.
