This is a great example of a near perfect Saab Sonett 3. As many of you have seen from my post on the BB's, this car has been a labor of love over the past 2 years. With a new baby, it is time for the Sonett to go. My Sonett has been worked on by John Plankey, Largo Florida. John is the only real Sonett repair man left in Florida and is the only person to touch this car. The underside and wheel wells are RUST FREE and have been coated with Wourth as well as the rockers.You can drive this car ANYWHERE!! The Engine and interior are FANTASTIC. I also changed the bumpers to the better looking 71 bumpers. I have an extra set of soccer ball rims and the originial bumpers. Click on the link below and see my member space pictures. NEW: Battery / Tires / Brakes (AND 30YRS. of HOARDED SPARE PARTS!) including Wheel-Emblems (5 in a- condition), small rubber parts, all door & window seals, high-performance motor parts, interior parts: upholstery etc., 5-shelves worth(boxed-up) complete spare motor & trans-axle / motor gasket set. Fiberglass perfect – steel body needs patching, running gear completely overhauled (blasted, repaired and painted) in 2006, including rebuilt brake and clutch cylinders, new brake lines, hubs repacked, rotors/drums machined, etc – whole nine yards (see picture). Interior removed to stain light grey – all pieces available (seats good, not stained yet). Needs solid internal brake lines and gas line. New fuel pump, re-built carburetor. Four soccerball wheels with brand-new tires. TWO FOR ONE - Will throw in 1971 yellow Sonnet in rough mechanical shape, but good fiberglass and windows (has wheels, tires and rolls only) FREE for spare parts etc if you haul. Located in central New York (Sherburne). I am in DC area. Call to make arrangements to see car(s).
