I am selling this vehicle because I no longer have need for it and I have developed back problems which makes it hard to enter and exit. It's time for someone else to have their fun with it. The car runs and drivers quite well but has some issues mainly electrical. Head and tail lights work but wipers and heater controls do not. The car comes with a complete repair manual (I believe it was from a sedan but they just about the same).The air compressor has been removed. Evaporator is still in place. All parts have been retained and will go with the car in case you wish to reinstall. This car is all original (repainted by previous owner) with V4 engine, front wheel drive, 4 speed with free wheeling transmission if desired. I have owned the car for over ten years and drove it very little. The car is trustworthy and very drivable. Master cylinder for clutch will have to be rebuilt. It sat too long. This car is an antique and should be driven as one. Comes with all 5 soccer ball wheels.

Selling my beloved Sonett after 34 years. Second owner. Purchased in 1983 at
119,000 miles. None of my SAAB enthusiast children are interested or capable of
keeping the car so I want to sell it to someone who can appreciate the work done
and enjoy the car as much as I have. Car has won numerous awards at various
conventions and car shows and has always received rave reviews and acclaim from
attendees. Finished a full ground up restoration in the spring of 1988.
Restoration consisted of total disassembly. Every piece of sheet metal on the
under structure of the car that was available from SAAB at the time was
replaced. Priming of all metal parts was done using CORALAR primer as per Saab
Guru Bill Jacobsen's recommendation given at the 1985 convention in Delaware.
Engine totally disassembled and rebuilt. New valves and seats to deal with
unleaded gas. New Isky camshaft for enhanced performance. Carb work and tuning
done by Andy Bittenbinder, local tuning expert and Saab enthusiast. Automatic
choke replaced with manual choke. Much more detail work done too. New battery
this past September. Transmission rebuilt by J&B Imports (Bud Clark) in
California in 1999. New bearings, seals and gaskets, etc. Invoice with parts
breakdown available. Brakes, hoses, seals, rotors, drums, etc all replaced. Have
some new misc. parts from Jack Ashcraft in my inventory that would be included
along with factory Sonett manual and Saab parts microfiche and reader. Complete
documentation of all work done included with sale of car. Car was originally
Pumpkin Orange. Now painted in the VERY VERY rare SAAB Pearlescent White, only
used on the eight 1985 SPG prototype cars. My wife and I had the use of one of
these SPG's for two weeks on our honeymoon in Sweden that summer and I fell in
love with the color. Wheels are painted to match. Paint job is unbelievable and
can only be appreciated in person. Car changes color in the sunlight. Unlike any
other pearlescent that you have ever seen before. Interior seats reupholstered
in fabric very similar to factory. New radio and speakers. Side and rear windows
tinted a slightly darker shade of gray to highlight the paint. I believe this
car may be one of the finest examples of this model in existence. Only known
issue is leaking rear main oil seal. I have the new seal and new flywheel bolts
to be included in the sale. Selling car "As Is " with issue. Serious offers

Car was my father's and he is no longer with us. He was in the process of restoring it. Everything is still on the car except seats and small hood opening that I have two options for. There is a complete spare engine. I do not know where it came from. But it appears rebuilt. It is not a pull from another sitting car. We do have the clean title for car.

This is a nice example of a 2 owner Sonett. It has many new parts including battery, brakes, water pump, fuel pump,and tires. It runs smooth and transmission works great including freewheel. The car is driven everywhere. It needs some cosmetics and wipers fixed. The paint is mostly original so presentable but not perfect. The interior is very nice and all original. The car has original manuals and window sticker.

I bought this car as a restoration project, it came on a trailer without the ignition key but it turned out it didn't matter since the engine wouldn't start. A little tricky to maneuver but with a garage jack we could get it into the shop. A lock smith made the ignition key which unlocked the steering for easier maneuvering but no starting of the engine. So after two years of working on it, a SAAB shop offered to make the engine run again and fixed the brakes and their hydraulic piping. The former owner passed while in the midst of the restoration so his brother (not a car guy) advertised it. A new Weber Tipo 34 ICH carburetor and fuel pump were installed and after the fuel filter was turned around, the engine started. It is fun to drive and the exhaust sound is great emulating a more fancy sports car.

Very early 1970 Sonett for restoration. The car is complete and has most of the original paint. The chassis is very good but will need some repairs. The engine is not frozen and car had low miles when stored. It has nice original steel wheels. It will require mechanical work and is not ready to be driven. I have title for the car and I bought it from original family.

1967 SAAB Sonett with rare wood dash. Rebuilt engine and transmission by previous owner. Everything works as it should (freewheel on the transmission is locked out). MSS exhaust with additional MSS glasspack. New brake rotors and brakes. Rebuilt brake and clutch master cylinders. It has had the floors and rockers replaced. I have two white Sonetts currently and am needing only one.
