Yes, it could. I like to carry a spare DI cassette for our '93 CSET, in
case of road-trip emergencies. Used of course, since I am far too cheap to
buy a brand-new backup cassette. The first one I bought gave base-boost
only ! The free replacement gave full-boost, so now I've got one of each.

I'm pretty sure there are fault codes that will prompt the Trionic to allow
only base boost. Only a scan-tool can determine if this is your problem.
But, you can reset all Trionic codes by disconnecting the battery cables for
a couple of minutes.

If you have ETS (electronic throttle - traction control option), a problem
in that system could be responsible for your base-only boost.

Only use the scan-tool if the indy doesn't have one.
