I've been running a set of Nokian NRWs on my 1987 Audi 4000 quattro for the
last three seasons. I run them from December to April and have put about
15000 miles on them so far. For where I live (Baltimore, Maryland USA),
they do very well in the snow and slush, but also do well on dry or wet
pavement. Since the Maryland winters are mostly dry or wet, I needed
something that was low noise, handled acceptably well, and didn't have
excessive tread wear. During the times when it snowed, I also needed it to
get me around without a worry. All in all, my Audi quattro with snows put
our now-departed SUV to shame.

We've since replaced the SUV with a 99 9-5 wagon, which, BTW, is an
excellent vehicle! With those aftermarket 17' BBS RKs and Dunlop SP-9000s
it sure doen't handle like any wagon I've ever driven!!
