Make sure you look carefully at the oil pump. gears as you memove them.  I
seem to remember a mark on one side of the gears. I'm not sure but maybe
they should not go in in reverse. At least you should put them in the same
orientation since parts tend to wear together. The job is pretty easy, but
I would replace the rubber o-ring type of seal that goes around the cover
in which the crank seal is seated. Not sure what this is called. Also, I
would try to reseal the oil-pan with silicone seal on the edge that is
exposed when you take the cover off. There are maybe 8 small bolts holding
this cover in question in place. Also take precautions not to damage the
new seal as you slide the cover/seal on. I think some people may use tape
or other techniques for this.
