before making statements like that. If you had read just a bit about it, you'd know that the crash illustrated the difference between a modern car designed with crumple zones and an old car without.
#1: The safe modern car is designed with zones that crush and thereby absorb the energy whilst the cabin is rigid and remains safe. The ancient 240 has nothing like this. Whilst it may seem that a car with a more rigid external structure is safer it certainly isn't, because it means the people inside are exposed to much larger g-forces.
#2: There's a very good reason the airbags didn't deploy. The crash wasn't hard enough. It wasn't an error.
So please be aware of what really happened before you go off like that.
