Hello!
I thought I would inquire about something that I have been trying to wrap my teeth around for a while now; namely, the Saab demo/psychographic.
When we say Mercedes, we typically have an innate image about what the car says and what language the buyer of the car wishes to "speak."
The same could be said about a BMW (ultimate driving machine), Volvo (safety), and Lexus (upscale, relentless quality standards). Of course you could go on and on with other car manufacturers as well.
My question is: In your opinion, what are some keywords or attributes society at large attaches to the Saab and Saab drivers. I guess you could call them...(I know, it's an ugly word...) stereotypes.
I read an article from an old magazine that mentions that Saab's used to have a reputation as the car for the Birkenstock-wearing Vermont college professor. Where are we now?
Best regards,
H.
