i would tend to agree with you about the xenons. they are a whiter light (kelvin wise) but they are not as good as halogens for driving in inclement weather i've found.
have your wife try driving in rain or mist and she what she thinks, i find the forward vision is less in those conditions with the xenons than with halogens.
as for reduced glare, i've yet to see a car or truck with xenons that does not glare badly at you in oncoming traffic. it's even worse than old vw bugs with their headlights totally out of whack and pointing in different directions lol.
i would not have a car with xenons again, as "antiquated and yellow" the halogens may be, i find those and a set of driving lights a better combination for night driving and/or curvy roads.
