I think the base Aero with no options is a screaming deal. Good mix of standard features. My SS 6speed came "stripped", yet had sunroof, dual power seats, multi cd, awesome wheels and the sports seats, xenon headlights, not even metallic paint. At the time, 0% financing was only available on the Aero, so it really cost the same as a 2.0T. Gas mileage is almost the same, plus you have the smoooooothness of the turbo V6 and the dual exhaust with a nice hum. If you are worried about the sunroof leaking, I have never had issues with Saabs there (94 900S with 130,000 miles and tight as the day it was new). I think of the two, the Aero is by far more satisfying to drive.
