Having done a few bi-xenon replacements when I worked for that other car company, the bulb will basically explode in the housing. Part of your $50 labor is using a vacuum to remove all the little bits of the former bulb from the headlight assembly, the other part is trying to reach your hand in there where nobody's hand was designed to fit. Sometimes the dealers have less control then they want over parts prices. That's the unfortunate part. Don't forget that these lamps contain heavy metals, too, and are supposed to be disposed of as hazardous waste. There should be a sticker in your door jamb and under the hood stating this.
Since I'm an old-schooler (my fancy, new headlights are the euro-codes on my '92 900 convertible) I really question why you need 'blue light special' lights to annoy all the other drivers on the road. That being said, the optics on exactly three makes are very well-done and are not annoying. In no particular order, those good samaritans include:
Your Saab
Benz (cars only, not super-high-beams SUVs)
Volvo (again, cars only.)
The worst offenders are BMW 5- and 7-series, Nissan anything, Honda, Cataract Escapades (why don't you just light a torch and shine it in my eyes or mirror) and I already said Nissan, but they deserve another mention.
Sorry for being bitter, but when I'm riding my bicycle after dark, those lights make it impossible for me to focus on the path lit by my own headlight. This is annoying and unsafe.
That being said, enjoy your Saab and factor that cost in next time you buy a car.
