Another poster encountered the same stratospheric pricing when he went to his local Dealer for a price quote.

I offered my $0.02 that the price should be closer to $400 to $500 total since I was able to purchase my "non-factory roof rack trim strips" through my Dealer for approximately $200 for the pair, and European Parts Houses are selling the racks for around $350 before shipping stateside (and no statement if this includes the necessary "with factory roof rack trim strips" included)

The poster replied back that his Father-In-law called a different Dealer and got a price in the range I had guessed at.

Both the head parts counter person and the head body shop person at my local Dealership were as curious about these parts as I was. I feel I paid fair market price for the parts (no special deal), but had their full cooperation in obtaining them.

BTW - the roof trim strips come pre-painted to match your car color, so Saab obviously intends to seel these to consumers!
