A glance at the 2006-2007 Saab Accessories Catalog (page 17) available at any dealer will show the C-Track Roof Bars for 9-3 Sport-Combi M06- (32025592) are $127 for two and they come with the end caps. As far as roof racks go they are pretty sharp looking. Saab Club of US members will find a dealer in most states that will give you 10% off. I have a Thule 599xtr Big Mouth which is readily available for $95. I do not recommend spending $24.70 for the C-Track Lock Set as this carrier and others can be removed without removing the end caps anyway.

The roof racks are specific to the M06- SC (or whatever model you have, I have a 9-3 SS M03-) so this reduces the likelyhood that they will be stolen. If you're going for a bike ride for a couple of hours just take them off and throw them in the car if you're worried! I only ride my bike on the weekend so I usually leave them in the garage until then as they made plenty of wind noise. I only have a $400 bike but I don't want it stolen either so I only put it on the rack when I'm going for a ride. There is no way that you can secure a bike to a rack that will prevent a determined thief from getting it off in a few moments.
