9-3ss 6 speed trans oil fill plug ID?

Picked up 2 quarts of Redline MTL in attempt to reduce or eliminate the 1-2 shift roughness in this 6 speed Getrag F40/6 gearbox. However, as I still can't get a proper repair manual for this car from the ususal suspects (Bentley, SAAB, Haynes)I'm not sure which bolt head is the drain plug and which is the fill plug...anybody know for sure?
I belive the drain plug is visible from the left front wheelwell - a torx head plug located quite low. However, it "appears" that the fill plug is a socket cap plug mounted on the top of the housing(visible when the hood is open, between the battery and engine block), colored black. This seems odd to me, as every other car I've oned used a side-mounted fill plug that would allow you to fill to capacity and allow excess lube to run off.
Any experience here (and/or pictures clearly identifying the plugs) would be greatly appreciated.
Unfortunately, while in for a check-engine light last week (gas cap replaced under warranty), the dealer refused to change the trans oil (I fully expected to pay for it!!) as their test drive indicated the trans was "perfectly normal"....hence, the purchase of the Redline MTL and my desire to change it myself.
Have to say - either the automotive industry is shifting into a strange zone of non-service or my particular Saab dealer is rather stand-offish....With my VW's I'm constantly pushing the dealer back on their "recommended service schedule" and additional service.
Thanks -
