Thanks, Gentlemen, for a wealth of information.
I'll be making the oil change to the Redline MTL this weekend and will post my results (either positive or negative) soon therafter; I am planning to take the car for a 1200 mile hop immediately over a period of 6 days, so we should know if the Redline helps or makes the situation worse.
I've have inquired about the shift linkage adjustment with my local dealer, but as they believe the gearbox to shift 'normally', they're not willing to fiddle with it. And yes, as mentioned earlier by a poster, the trans does seem to shift better in higher ambient temps (last week I drove from NY to Indianapolis for the USGP, and the trans performed so well at 97F that I wondered if a long drive 'cured' it....but it is its old self back home with 70-75F ambients....)
Again, thanks for the help and tutorial - I'll post my subjective impressions shortly.
