My experience tells me differently. Tires are the number one cause of pulling. Often the alignment person just finds a set of tires that go straight. Simple DIY test for a pull is to swap the front wheels and tires and see if that fixes it.
There's really nothing to adjust in a modern strut suspension as regards to alignment to make the car go straighter. It almost always tires in my experience.
