Glove box problems, advice needed

Hi,
I am having a problem with my glove box. Since Saab has the biggest glove box I have ever saw in a car, mine has filled with various documents and objects (junk) and now something is lodged in the door and it will not open. This is a problem sense my insurance, registration, and other important documents I need to fill out are contained inside. I push the release button and it goes down about an inch. This has happened to me before but at least it went down enough to fit my hand in the door and dislodge the pencil that was stuck in the bottom of the door. This time I am not so lucky. I've deduced the only way to fix the problem is to go in and remove the screws holding the door in place at the bottom of the dash. As with any job on a Saab (except for changing bulbs), this is getting to be more complicated than it should be. I have removed the panels under the dash and along the passenger sides feet. I have seemed to come to a stopping point. I am now getting into metal parts of the frame and I think I am missing something somewhere. I thought by removing the two screws at the base of the door that would be an easy fix but that is not the case (wishfull thinking perhaps). If anyone can direct me into the right direction, has any experiance on this undertaking, etc any subjestions or comments would be MUCH welcome. Thanks everyone.
