Thank you very much for the great ideas. The use of the hanger does make a lot of sense. Also, I do like the idea of having some fun in the car to dislodge whatever it is loose. Given from what I have heard and read, there are indeed screws inside the glove box that must be removed in order to detach the door. So my plans of taking the door off have been slammed shut (literally). Once again, thanks for the insight.
