Lets get something straight, this is no first generation drivetrain. The Haldex4 on our Turbo Xs was preceded by the 1,2,3. I had 1 on my VW R32, then 2 on the Volvo S6R paired with a RICA Stage 1 PPC(BSR licensed) tune, and it was a blast to drive.
I don't want to be a beta tester either, especially that i had to lease this "high" residual value car.
Your concern is very valid. I view the PPC as the key to total control over the car. The ECU OEM tune mapping is based on "protect the car from the stupid driver" principle, while the PPC removes a lot of the barriers, so now the driver has more control, also more of a chance to toast the clutch if irresponsible or having new sole thickness shoes on :)
