Battery life seems to be impacted more by age and amount low current flow necessary to keep the electronics running than it is mileage. 3-1/2 years is average to good for a modern car, regardless of brand. Far too many computers on board today's cars are always drawing current from the battery shortening its life.
I have learned to watch the calendar for battery age and to listen carefully to the speed of the starter motor. As soon as I detect the starter spinning slower it means I have about one week to get a new battery.
The auto parts stores will test batteries for free. A quick and imprecise check can be done with the battery in the car, a longer and more accurate test is done in the store when the quick parking lot test indicates reason for concern. Having these tests done on 6 month intervals, every Spring and Fall, is a good idea after your battery reaches two years of age.
