All oil brands other than Mobil-1 have their 30 weight oils listed as approved. Mobil-1 has their 40 weight oil approved to the GM/Opel/Saab LL-025-A specification. The most reasonalbe explanation for this is that Mobil-1's 30 weight is just too thin or shears too easily.
Stick with with Mobil-1 0W/40.
