OK don't throw me out of here, yes I like my SAAB but I have rented the G35 and its one hell of a car-- I think its got (by far) the most bang for the buck. Anyway, I haven't driven any of the other cars outside a Beemers from a few years ago, so I guess whatever blows your skirt up is cool with me.
I've owned a lot of cars due to my job in outside sales piling up miles fast and my Japanese purchases have been the most reliable--don't get me started on BMW's (BAD LUCK for me and other family members).
Rear wheel and all-wheel drives cars will just about always do better in these type of sport sedan tests. The reality is there is torque steer from a front drive set up that can be a little scary when pushing hard. With that said, I do like the traction a front drive car gives in bad weather.
SAABs have cache' in their uniqueness and features. Not the most intuitive interfaces out there but once mastered very rich in content. Most people seem to like SAABs and I've meet several other current and former owners and every one of them said they'd buy another-- that's about the ultimate complement to me. That's more than I can say about a few of the cars that I've owned.
