Having tested an Acura TSX, I felt it was a peaky 4 cylinder engine. With revs it is wonderful, smooth and powerful. I cannot imagine comparing it to an automatic Saab.
I love my Saab Viggen, but feel Honda/Acura makes one of the finest engines out there.
Their 3.2 liter V6 S-type like in the CL coupe (discontinued in 2003 - dealer alleges by the TSX - I think not) is one of the most flexible engines I have driven in a long time. Fat, flat torque from 2500 to redline. Pair it with the 6 speed manual in the 2003 CL coupe, and you will smile. Unfortunately, as a Honda and now a Saab owner, Acuras just feel like a dressed up Honda Accord. I was surprised how familiar things felt in the CL from the driver's seat. (view and appearance, nothing feels like that V6 and 6 speed!!). Unfortunately, we wanted a change.
