Well Peter, I think (and hope) you'll be pleasantly surprised. You don't say what type o' 'stang your climbing out of, but if you're getting the "T" motor, you won't be let down by a lack of torque. Balance and handling will be a huge improvement over the ancient FOX chassis (couldn't wait for the all new 2005 Mustang?) Quality is, perhaps, not what it was 10-15 years ago, and systems are more complex, and it's not just a Saab engineered vehicle anymore, but an adaptation of an Opel platform, and apparently greater volume leads to greater rates of failure, regardless of the manufacturer. I guess the point is, we REALLY love our Saabs, but I expect the GM-euro versions to require more TLC, stay on top of things and stay on top of your dealer. And yes, I have an '01 9-3, which is at least 1/2 GM-ish (after several C900's and 9000's) so I'm not just blowin smoke here.
