I've posted before with questions about Aero purchases.

Ater two weeks of searching and test drives, I'm finally down to two '01 CPO Aeros. One is a silver with charcoal interior with 46.5K miles for $18,900 and the other is a laser red with tan interior with 27.3K miles for $20,250.

I've gone through an initial round of negotiations and the prices are the reduced prices from the initial retail price. There may be a little wriggle room but not more than a few hundred dollars at best (and I'll do my damnest to see if there are more).

Others have posted the going prices (including auction prices) in the East Coast but neither dealer seem to be willing to go down to the $17-$18K range that were suggested by others.

It seems that the supply of '01 Aeros are shrinking while the supply of '02 Aeros seem to be increasing as they come off the lease. After driving both the '01s and '02s, the extra price for the '02s were not worth it to me for the small improvement in feel.

The silver one is located at a nearby dealer and I would get free loaners for any service visits. But the red one is very clean and has much lower mileage. There may be more price flexibility with the red one versus the silver one has close to none (I've already tried with a lower offer and the dealer did not move $1 dollar).

I'm leaning toward the red one but I'd like to hear people's opinions. Maybe I'll hear some factors (upkeep, resale value, etc.) that I hadn't considered before that will sway my decision.

I'll be an Aero owner soon! I'm already psyched thinking about all the detailing work I can do on it.
