If you want to see how Opels hold up against Saabs just compare a Cadillac Catera against same year Saab. The caddy is a rebadged Opel Omega.
I understand how and why GM needs to pump out product. Just look at other high volume GM cars and how well they hold up, Chevy Chevette ,Berlinita ,Corsica Cavilier. Even tho Saab made fewer cars in the years of these high volume Chevys you see more Saabs on the road of the same year produced. That speaks well of the Sweden plant and why I wouldnt hesitate to buy another from Trollhattn and why I think that plant should be a model of how to build in quality..
