Hi,
Some of you may remember a post under "frustrated" during a snowstorm about 6 weeks ago. My 2003 Aero SW with approx 8800 miles would not start. 2 weeks before I had a CEL requiring change of the purge valve. Towed to dealer who said the spark plugs were fouled and after they were changed, things seemed okay. Yesterday car felt a little funny, shifting seemed rough with occasional surge. Today, I moved car from driveway to street no problem but when I went out later to run an errand, car did the same thing as the last time it failed. Engine cranks but doesn't fire, lights come on okay so not the battery. I do drive lots of short distances in cold weather. Two failures in 6 weeks in cold weather with short distances. Is this the dreaded sludge problem and could that explain why spark plugs would be so fouled in the first break down? I've done all the factory service at my dealer in a timely fashion. I'm really frustrated and perplexed. I also have a 2003 Arc Sedan that has run great.
To add to my frustration, I've been waiting 1 1/2 hours for a promised 1 hour pick up from GM roadside assistance. Lucky today it's sunny and 50 degrees today. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated?
Thanks,
Dan
