My crank seal began leaking over 2 yrs ago, a bit before Saab released the PCV modification, and if I recall about somewhere close to your milage - certainly way too soon for this type of failure. Having experienced other oil leaks prior to the crank seal, I'm pretty certain all are tied to excessive crank pressure.
The leak itself is annoying more than anything for the stench it creates when dripping onto the catalytic converter. Now the interesting part is that for now at least the leak has lately almost stopped, where as when it first started I would leak a quart of oil between changes at 6k miles.
As Charlie recommends, watch your oil level, and also I would recommend getting the PCV mods performed and not waiting for Saab to get it's act together, which may take ages or never happen at all. This may well help with the leak.
I was at one time thinking of asking Saab for assistance, but I'd be skeptical that they would do much of anything, as they do not even have enough regard for their customers to perform the PCV mod at no charge unless your car happens to be in warranty, in fact they refused to even supply me the part kit for no charge.
This poorly engineered PCV system will cost Saab plenty, as I suspect that it is a primary contributor to the sludge problem experienced in some of the engines, and they have not produced a solid fix for this to date.
