Having had my '01 Aero since May, I didn't have an opportunity to experience what the TSC would do on the car. The car has TERRIBLE snow traction and on a recent ski trip to Montreal, I took that car - rather than my Volvo 850 with Blizzaks, because the wather forecast called for dry conditions. Made it up there (550 miles) no problems. Wonderful skiing for three days. The night before we're going home, there's not a cloud in the sky, bright full moon, yata, yata. Get up the next morning and (you guessed it) 2 - 3 inches of snow on the ground - on top of a very fine layer of frozen rain.

It was so slippery that my passengers had trouble staying on their feet getting from the condo to garage. The car skated down the mountain - literally. The only semblance of controlled driving was when I put my foot on the gas and the TCS cut. Hitting the brakes did nothing. The conditions were so slippery that the ABS couldn't find a wheel that was turning. I should point out that this was at 5:30 in the morning - before the plows and salters were out. We got down the mountain in this controlled skid fashion.
By the time we got to the interstate, things had improved to where there was a narrow strip of blacktop. I'm doing 55 MPH and the Canadians are whizzing by me doing 90+ (MPH) on the snow covered roads. My wife said that this is either the result of too many hockey practices or why the Canadians love their hockey (no fear of death or serious injury).

Anyway, if it weren't for the TSC, we probably would't have made it down the mountain until after the roads were plowed/salted. And on more that one occasion, would have spent some time in the local hospital (or worse)after slipping off the side of the road.
