Sorry for the late post. I haven't visted the board in a few days. I definitely prefer the Aero. The debate for me has always been whether it is enough better to justify the extra cost.
But if I were buying the car rather than leasing, the long term cost differential is not nearly as great. Parts on the v6 are more expensive (turbo especially and two di cassettes) and you need a timing belt change every 60K. This could add up in a hurry and make the v6 more expensive in the long run. The Aero also gets better mpg, especially in the city where most of us do our driving.
In my o4 Aero wagon, I did not initially like the carbon fiber dash, but now I do. It grew on me.
The extra 50 lbs makes the Aero more balanced. It really is a much better car than the v6 and now that they are not making the v6 anymore, I really have my doubts about it.
