Common symtpoms that I've posted on recently (stumbling, stalling, etc).

CEL went on recently (hot day). Code was for multiple misfires.
I changed plugs and drove a bit. Started stumbling again after about 10 miles or so (cool day).

I also disassembled the DIC and noticed about a drop of oil on the bottom of coil #4.

Last night, I cleaned the TB. Today, I went for a drive to test it. CEL was off (or went off while driving). After about 2 miles, the CEL went on and car stumbled. Then the CEL started to flash.

As I was contemplating whether or not to pull over and walk home, it went steady, so I drove home very gently.

As I pulled up my street, CEL started flashing again. Was flashing when I parked the car. Slight smell of sulfur. Hope I didn't trash my cat.

Checked CPS resistance. It was over 1.1K Ohms. It was at 860 when I checked prior to the drive.

My thoughts:
1) I need a new CPS
2) I probably ned a new DIC. That may not be the cause of the problem, but the drop of oil (even thought just a drop) is a single that it is on its way out
3) OMG! Did I trash my cat?

I'm going to start the car up once it cools down (CPS back to normal) and see if the CEL flashes or not.

May also take it to my indy and have him pull the codes, check for a software upgrade, and discuss the issue with me. I can get the codes pulled for free from the auto parts guys, but I don't think they can check the software. Not sure on this though. May just try to replace the CPS first, and then see what happens. I hate to pay for the towing...

Thoughts?

James
