If you are always pushing the limits (as in my case) the oil will not be heated up to the same point as the coolant and even more important, had a chance to "steam off" the condensation water and excess of fuel.
In every cold start you have a fair amount of fuel passing by the piston rings and into the crank case due to the enrichment (choke mode) when cold starting.
The engine is also accumulating quite a bit on condensation water from the trip last day and sitting over night. You see that in your morning commute with all the cars in front of you spitting water out the tail pipe.
Plenty of that water gets into the crank case and it needs to be steamed off during driving.
It probably takes about 20-30 min ride to get rid of last nights water but it is no fool proof formula written for it.
My commute to work and home is about 5 min one way and that is the worst kind of driving you can do regarding the fuel and condense water accumulation in the oil.
That's why I change the oil every 1500 miles (twice a year).
