"Higher tire pressure improves MPG, handling, tire life and helps protect your wheels, the only thing that suffers is ride comfort."
This is just wrong. If you go back to the days of bias ply tires, you'd be closer to correct, but with radials you are way off base. Sure, you get better MPG because you reduce the rolling resistance of the tires by narrowing and elongating the contact patch. But the handling goes straight in the toilet and uneven wear quickly becomes a problem. I have autocrossed and rallied cars for years, and let me tell you, too much tire pressure does absolutely nothing good for handling. If you never push your car, it's probably no big deal, but you'll regret your choice the first time you need to make a high-speed emergency lane change or light the brakes off to avoid going under the semi that just jackknifed in front of you. For best handling and wear, you want a nice even pressure across the entire width of the tread, and there is only one pressure that will achieve that. And for most cars and tires, it's not 40psi.
