my alternator died too, yesterday sunday. i was able to drive 20 miles before the car stoped completely. i saw the battery light on but thought it was a faulty signal. then the lights started dimming...and dimming...and dimming... until they faded completely. i was in the middle of nowhere, luckily i reached civilization before the car came to a complete halt.
the BIG QUESTION: HOW MUCH DID IT COST YOU :) i'm finding out tomorrow, but good to know ahead of time what to expect.
