9-5's have very consistent failure points. DIC, SID, rear shocks, thermostat are at the top of the list. I bought a 9-5 Aero sedan with 84k in March 2004, and I've replaced all of those since then. That's about $1500 in 16 months.
That's the bad news. The good news is that the car runs perfectly, feels far tighter and newer than a car with 103k ought to feel, and I feel quite confident all I'll be doing for the next 16 months is oil changes.
The trick with your car is that at 80-90-100k for mileage, you're going to be doing some repair work. The fact that the previous owner had the 90k service done is a point in the car's favor, but still you're going to be doing things.
It's your decision - either you can deal with that, or you can't.
