:~) I knew you wouldn't actually rebuild the engine. It is just to expensive. How did you find your lead for the engine? Since I told you how much I paid, how much did you have to pay for your engine. Some suggestions look the intake over carfully. I think someone already mentioned that it might have to be switched. I presume just the plenum and not the entire intake manifold. I agree replace the seals Trans seal especially. However I would get them from the dealer or eeuroparts. I think the trans seal was 26 or 30 dollars. Other things that I replaced was the alternator (why? It is a huge pain to replace while in the car) Very easy with the engine out, I replaced the carrier bearing it is cheap around 30-40 dollars and is also a huge pain to replace later on. I noticed a crack in my inner boot So I went ahead and replaced right drive axel. I bought a good one b/c this axle is a known to fail. I was told by the place where I bought mine that the right axles are the side that generally fails and that they are a poor design. As Indicated I swapped out the transmission too. After all why not. I seriously thought about replacing the power steering rack. I didn't this time only time will tell if that was a good move. On my old 9000 I replaced the rack at the same time that I replaced the engine. The extra work is minimal. I would look the motor mounts and the engine cradle mounts over really well. I am sleepy. If anything else comes to mind I will let you know.
