Tire "cupping" update

Well, my "cupped" Yokohama AVS db's were giving me so much road noise that I couldn't wait any longer to replace them. I had been eyeing some new rims anyway so I went to Tire Rack and bought the AT Italia Inox rims and put Kuhmo ASX tires on them based on the low price of $91/tire and the high treadwear rating of 420. Tire Rack mounted and "Road Force" balanced the wheels and shipped them direct to me. I then mounted them myself and properly torqued the lug bolts to 82ft.lbs. If these Kuhmos don't do the trick, well at least I haven't spent a fortune on them. I only got a good 15k out of the Yokos at $136/tire.
I then went to my indy for an alignment check and they let me oversee the job with their Hunter DSP400 system. The fronts needed some minor tweeking, but the rears showed 1.9 degrees of negative camber and a slight toe in adjustment needed. Their Hunter equipment indicated there was no adjustment for the rear camber and that the toe-in requires a special tool to do the job. So now I have brand new tires and am convinced that if I don't get this camber thing dealt with, I will just wear out another set of tires before their time.
I will be making an apointment with my nearest Saab dealer who has a master mechanic on duty and have them align the rears, which look like they will need the "spacers" mentioned in previous threads on this issue to correct the excessive negative camber problem. My ultimate goal is to get at least 40k out of a set of tires and I plan on cross-rotating them every 5k oil change from now on, now that I have bought "asymetrical" tires.
Now that I am aware of the camber issue, I can actually see the inward tilt of the wheels when I eyeball them especially from the rear. It is no wonder that I have been wearing out the inside edges so fast!
I will follow up with a report after my dealer visit. By the way the 5-spoke stainless steel AT rims look awesome!!!
