parts.
I can't speak for the 2005 models, but you should be able to get the spring codes from the similarly equipped 2005 aero (ie go look at a wagon w/automatic or sedan w/manual trans or whatever is the same car you have)
The springs are not that big a deal to swap out. I had to do the rear shocks, anyway, on mine. I'm not sure if the arc shock/struts will handle the higher aero spring rates, but they may be fine, and with the new car, I might try just the springs and swaybars, first. Assuming the swaybars have the same size differential (I'm not sure on the '05) that the earlier models had, they will make a huge difference, but the front is a PIA to do. Rear is a total piece of cake.
If you search back on my old postings, I did a LOT of looking at this for my '99 9-5. I ended up w/'02 sway bars and '01 aero springs and went oem for these parts. I went w/Bilstiens for shocks and struts. I've been amazed at how well the package went together and the handling & ride combination.
With mine, I got the part numbers for the springs and sway bars and went to a couple of the saab net sponsors who discount. The springs were just under $200, but I know I have pricing in some of the older posts. You can decide what you want to do for your own roadholding kit.
