I DIY stuff all over the place, brakes oil changes and radiators on cars, lawn care a deck on the pool, remodel a bathroom put in a hot water tank, etc.
My 2 cents...
1. I also enjoy the work
2. And saving some money is also a good thing
3. But one thing not mentioned, paying for simplier jobs tends to be sourced down to the least talented individuals, so in these casses I feel I will do a better job.
4. Don't DIY stuff to complicated, ie, for me, a timing belt or an addition on my house, but in my opinion these higher end jobs will also require the talented professionls.
