Thanks Roger. I've been following the circular evolution of these PCV mods and its clear that SAAB doesn't really understand the problem, nor does anyone else for that matter. The fact that it varies with individual cars doesn't help much. Your mods are mods to SAAB's and as such have little relevance to my unmodded system. My consumption is within industry limits as enumerated by Swedecar and the car is used almost entirely in city driving lots more hours per mile. So, at this point, I'm not going to worry about it. Didn't realize an extra check valve was added and thought I could try what seemed a quick fix without that knowledge.
