The car can sometimes overcompensate if it thinks the tranny is too hot. I haven't looked it up yet, but I think there is a sensor for tranny temp. If it wasn't working properly, that could cause your tranny to shift like it's over 100+ outside. Does your car shift (under load) at higher RPMs than normal? Mine would sometimes wait until about 65 MPH to go into overdrive. Then while slowing (no accelorator), it would "clunk" going from 3rd to 2nd.
I'll see what I can find.
