I stopped in because the service rep who was handling my case no longer works at the dealer. I opened the conversation with- this is my problem, can you help me deal with it properly? So we talked about it for awhile, I described the symptoms and the fact hat the tsb recomends replacing the tranny. I told them I would like to avoid that if possible. (I would really rather not have to do that.) While all this was going on a saab mechanic was listening in and we talked for awhile also. He was telling me about the problems with 9-3 shifting and that it usually comes down to a particular part on the tranny, and how saab would rather replace the part instead of repairing (the part) so the defective part will get sent back to saab I guess for analysis. That the 9-5 tranny is very trouble free. I suppose, however, I am not the only one that has this symptom, there is that tsb. Well I have an appointment to bring the car in next week. I am hoping to get a 9-3 aero for a loaner ;-)
