I've replaced 2 idlers now and the alternator is getting hot when testing, so it's definitely the alt bearing that's going now....
Tires are OK, I have my own compressor and several gauges.
Poured in a second helping of Techron last night.
Not using oil.
The engine temp thing is interesting. I don't think I've EVER seen our car run at the 9oclock position. The car heats up plenty fast, unlike a bad t-stat, but it ALWAYS is at 8oclock, never as high as 9. Hmm.
Tranny fluid looks great. I plan to have that serviced again soon as a matter of course though.
There are platinum plugs in the car.
Now you have me thinking. This is what I was hoping I'd get from this board. :) Still though, nothing hugely out of the ordinary.
Thanks for the input!
