Stick to products Todd, not sales and financing... Posted by Mike Lynch [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Re: 2006 9-5 Lease--Northeast, Todd Newman Saab Trainer, Wed, 3 May 2006 15:07:01 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Todd, Todd, Todd, can you see me shaking my head? How you gonna' have people to train if you encourage people not to acquire the product?
Specifically your lease advice is way off base. As lease residual values drop through the model year, typically Saab makes up for that with a lower rate and incentives so the payment stays consistent over time. For the same payment on the same car a lower residual lower buyout is an advantage for the customer.
And then you contradict yourself and say a lease could be a good thing because when the new 9-5 comes out the 07-05 values will tumble?
And finally you state the obvious, that residuals are lower at the end of the model year, but draw an erroneous conclusion that there is somehow a lack of value in a lease later in the model year. In my experience some of the best Saab leases of all time have been late in the model year, when inventory levels require it.
Are you fur' us or agin' us?
Ya'know I'm not trying to pick on you but your product info wasn't right either......
