OK. I'm rigging two leads one to pin 30 and the other to 87. When I get the next no crank episode, I'll connect them and see if that activates the solenoid/starter. I'm going to reinstall the original relay since it already has leads on it and I suspect it is perfectly OK. I understand SWEDECAR's commets about the resistence offered by the "stop light bulb" test lamp and the LED test lamp.
Today, I drove the Aero from MRY to Santa Clara to the nearet SAAB dealer for the IDM recall which was painless. I discovered that the latest SPS is already installed on that 9.5. Of course, the car performed flawlessly despite the very hot drive through the Santa Cruz mountains and the 75 degree temps in Santa Clara.
